Moisture meter for baled hay and silage
The new Olli Control moisture meter is an easy-to-use reliable tool for the users of hay, haylage and silage.
With Olli Control you can measure the moisture of all kinds of baled hay, haylage and silage between 10 and 70 % of moisture. The meter has moisture settings for different types of bales with different densities.
Hay will get spoiled, if it is stored too humid, and it can even heat up dangerously during the process. Use Olli Control to ensure that the baled hay is dry enough to be stored safely, and/or if it requires additional drying.
Olli Control can also be used for defi ning the moisture or dry matter content of silage bales for different purposes. The dry matter content is an important parameter in planning of the feeding of the animals, and dry matter weight can be used as a basis for trading price. Often also the feed analysis results and feeding recommendations use the dry matter weight as a measure.
Olli Control shows the moisture of the hay or silage, i.e. water content in weight per cent. The dry matter content equals to 100% minus moisture: for example 30% moisture means 70% dry matter content.
